Time to update this. :D Urby's had his looong day in the sun now as the 100th grub. In fact, there's closer to 120ish grubs now... but I haven't counted in a while so that's just a guess.
2011 wasn't exactly a banner year for plush - I didn't make or sell as many as in previous years, but I did develop a new pattern (PEAS!).
The last 12 months went mostly into fixing up my new home. It's great to have my own house, but it needed a a LOT of work just to be functional (nevermind comfortable). The official 100th grub is....

When I spotted this fabric (which is the same kind of flannel the first 99 were made from!) I knew this would be the 100th grub. He is artsy and wild, and seems to sum up the grub journey in one really bright fabric. When I started making grubs I chose very simple fabrics - gingham, stripes, in monochrome palettes. Back then, I thought grubs should look like pastel Easter eggs. :D Grubs have changed a lot since then, though, and now anything goes when it comes to fabric!
What's next?! More grubs?! Maybe... but I've been working on lots of new things, too!
